With dedication, hard work and commitment the boys varsity volleyball team had a successful season and made the playoffs.
The boys finished with an overall record of 8-5 leaving them at third place in the league."We improved by being more competitive with the top teams in the league and limiting our mistakes that we made in the beginning of the year," said coach Ryan Ritcheske, who is happy with the results.
"I think we did remarkably well due to the level of commitment the players showed the team. Even though we did not do as well as we could have, I am glad that we had as much fun as we did," said John Lear, 12th grader, who enjoyed his last year playing for Westchester.
Without the teamwork there is no conquest but, there are always those players who stand out. In this case they were the teams bright spots, according to Ritcheske. They are Danny Seidlein, first team all league middle blocker and Colin Ziegler, second team all league outside hitter.
With seniors Aaron Horning, John Lear, Matthew Ashcraft, Evan Stevens and Jeff Tanner graduating, what is expected for next year."I think next year will be a big year for learning due to the number of players moving up from J.V.," said Ziegler, who thinks next year will turn out to be the same as this year.
"I hope to continue to have further development for our new player, add new ones to our program and maintain the academic success that we've had over the years," said Ritcheske |

It's official me and my prince charming are now a couple since friday April 28th im so happeeeeee!! life is rewarding!! ups and downs but when you are patient great things will come to you!! and i can say its happened to me!! |

Another Day... Woke up and wondered about how my day would be today.. well besides the fact that i was not feeling well and i think i am getting sick... well i went to my first period... slept half the time and my third period also.. something i really don't tend to purposely fall asleep but like i said.. not feeling well... anywho then i have so much stress because i have my leadership application due tomorrow!!! im running for class PRESIDENT!!!!! im so happy.. i was thinking about giving up.. but then that would make me a quitter and i am not a quitter!! lol ... and then i have to start campaigning im so nervous but.. hopefully everything will be ok!! hehe.. anywho... well.. my day all came to a brightness when i saw my bf!! i was so happy!!! and i still am... |

Well another day... same shit.. except like you all know theres the guy who swept me off my feet!! lol gosh he makes me feel so different from other guys he actually cares for me and shows me!! he is just the cutest guy on the earth!! well to me he is... hes a dream come true!!! im so happy its just crazy!! so far nothing can ruin my day!! except teachers AHHH!! they always find a way to piss me off and get me from a smiley feeling to a get out of my face mood!! lol anywho today was magnificent i literally touch the sky!! he kissed me and it was our first kiss.. *sigh* man i felt helpless... all kinds of emotions ran through me!! ....happy ones of course..lol wow.. life does bring suprises and great ones too!!! kissing him was like i was going to melt!! well this is fairy talke i am living and i love it!!! |

Well another day nothing special.. except this boy.. haha if your a girl you probably know that feeling that you come to school and then you see the guy you like a lot... and everything around you goes blank and it's just that one person you see?? well that is what i have been experiencing... everything is going great!! its really a fairytale but it's going to come to an end when he goes to college and Im still stuck in high school.. so im enjoying every secong i spend with him.. wow love can be great!!! if you are patient... |
